NEW DELHI: The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country crossed 1.90 crore on Friday with 10,34,672 vaccine jabs being given till 7 pm on day 49 of the nationwide vaccination drive, the Union health ministry said.
Across the different phases, a total of 1,90,40,175 vaccine doses have been administered, as per the provisional report till 7 pm today.
The nationwide vaccination drive was rolled out on January 16 prioritizing healthcare workers (HCWs) with vaccination of frontline workers (FLWs) starting from February 2.
How many HCWs and FLWs have been vaccinatedThese include 68,96,529 HCWs who have taken the first dose and 32,94,612 HCWs who have taken the second dose,
As many as 62,94,755 FLWs have been given the first dose and 1,23,191 FLWs have received the second dose.
How many above 60 & above 45 with comorbidities have been vaccinatedFrom March 1, the next phase of Covid-19 vaccination started for people above 60 years of age and for people aged 45 and above with specified co-morbid conditions.
Around 21,17,862 beneficiaries are people above 60 years old and 3,13,226 beneficiaries are aged 45 and above with specific co-morbidities.

From March 1, as many as 2,35,901 beneficiaries more than 45 years old with specific comorbidities and 16,16,920 people aged more than 60 years have received anti-coronavirus vaccine dose, it stated.
On Thursday, day 48 of the nationwide
Covid-19 vaccination drive, 13,88,170 people were inoculated. This was the highest number of vaccination recorded in a day so far, an official said.
Made in India vaccine sent to 50 countries: PM ModiPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said, "The Made In India Covid-19 vaccine has been sent to nearly 50 countries and will deliver to many more in coming days."
Modi said India has provided medicines and other essential items to more than 150 countries while the world was fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
PM Modi's comments came during a virtual summit with his Swedish counterpart Stefan Lofven which was aimed at boosting bilateral ties between India and Sweden.
Currently, two Covid-19 vaccines are being administered in the country Bharat Biotech's Covaxin and Oxford-AstraZeneca's Covishield.
