Alessandra Ambrosio added to her repertoire of stylish workout gear this week as she headed out on a hike in Los Angeles.
Soaking up the sunny weather on Thursday, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel ventured out in an all-gray look including a spaghetti strap sports bra and rolled-up sweatpants; the sweats actually come from Khloe Kardashian’s line of inclusive apparel and retail for $75 at GoodAmerican.com. She also included a protective pink face mask and a $32 Alo Yoga hat for the outing.
As for footwear, Ambrosio decided on a fresh pair of running shoes that bear resemblance to a celeb-favorited sustainable brand. The Allbirds Tree Dashers have been tagged as carbon-neutral, as the company created its own carbon footprint initiative, a calculation that measures the carbon output of each of its products.
Its eco-friendly fabric incorporates superfine eucalyptus tree fiber uppers and laces formed from recycled plastic bottles with trademarked Brazilian sugarcane SweetFoam cushioning. A favorite of Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell and even Barack Obama, these sustainable kicks are everywhere on the celeb style scene; as for Ambrosio, the gray silhouette chosen by the model retails for $95 at Allbirds.com.
Sustainable sneakers are the new normal in the supermodel’s closet. In February, she tapped a celebrity-favorited collab to prep her feet for another hike. The Adidas by Stella McCartney UltraBoost Parley sneakers include mesh overlays atop an upper formed from recycled plastic extracted from the ocean; the eco-friendly pair also utilizes 100% cotton from sustainable sources. Formed with a sock-style upper, you can shop the “Oreo” colorway of the sneakers for $328 in select sizes at Farfetch as well as on the resale market from $175 courtesy of GOAT.
Along with her title of a former Angel, Ambrosio has appeared in ad campaigns for Schutz, Jordache, XTI Shoes and Swarovski, among other brands. The model also launched her own swimwear line, Gal Floripa, last year with her best friend Gisele Cória and sister Aline Ambrosio.
When it comes to her personal shoe style, the Brazilian star can be found in a variety of looks, including casual sneakers by Common Projects and Golden Goose as well as bold picks like cherry red Giuseppe Zanotti heels. More recently, thong-toe sandals have become one of Ambrosio’s go-to shoes of choice throughout quarantine in addition to her big toe pairs. She owns multiple designs of classic flip flops from Havaianas of course, previously showing off all-black and other tan colorways, as well as a pair from Brazilian eco-friendly footwear brand Green Flip Flops, constructed with plant-based plastic.
