Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble took his first domestic flight, ever since the pandemic, on Friday, March 5. The head coach for IPL team PunjabKings shared a selfie from the aircraft revealing that he is ‘feeling odd’. In the picture, one can see him in a pink shirt and a pair of semi-rim spectacles. Taking all precautionary measures for travel, Anil can be see wearing a grey face mask and a face shield. From the looks,one can easily see that he is sitting on the window seat.

The former cricketer captioned his post as, “Feels odd… First Domestic Air travel in more than a year!!”Many of his fans have reacted to the post. Some people have lauded him for taking all precautionary measures while some have asked where he is headed to.

Some users have also commented expressing their desire for Punjab’s win in the upcoming IPL season. Last month, Anil had said that he is happy with the squad for IPL 2021. In the auction on February 19 the team had got nine new players for the season. The players who have joined the squad in this edition of the IPL are Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith, Moises Henriques andDawid Malan, among others. It is also worth mentioning that due to the rise in cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra, BCCI is thinking of moving the IPL venue to different parts of the country.

Meanwhile, legendary cricketers like Ravi Shastri and Kapil Dev recently took the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Ravi got himself vaccinated at a hospital in Ahmedabad, while Kapil went to a hospital in Delhi. Both these cricketers got the vaccines after India entered the second phase of vaccination. In this phase, everyone above the age of 60 and those over 45 with co-morbidities are eligible to get the vaccine.
