'Party Down' Revival in the Works at Starz

A limited series follow-up to Party Down is in development!

Variety reports that the network will be reviving the cult comedy for a six-part limited series.

The show follows a Los Angeles catering team made up of actors looking for their big breaks, with each episode set at a different event the team is working. The original run starred Ken Marino, Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, Lizzy Caplan and Megan Mullally.

While no cast announcements have been made, executive producer Rob Thomas said they are “determined” to bring the original cast back together.

“At the end of 2019, the Party Down cast and producers were all reunited at a retrospective for the show hosted by Vulture,” Rob explained. “We had such a good time that we wanted to find a way to get the team back together again. The cast is so busy these days that finding a window where we can do it may require trigonometry, but we’re determined to make it happen.”

The network also announced that the revival would reunite the original creative team behind the scenes, including co-creator Dan Etheridge, John Enbom and Paul Rudd.
