Shiv Sena to support Mamata Banerjee, not to contest WB election

Mumbai, Mar 4 (UNI ) The Shiv Sena said on Thursday that it will whole-heartedly support All India Trinamool Congress leader and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and will not contest the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.
Talking to reporters here, Sena MP and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that since the WB polls are turning out to be “Didi vs. All” fight, his party has decided not to contest the elections but instead, will stand in solidarity with her.
“Looking at the present scenario, it appears like a ‘Didi vs All’ fight. All M’s – Money, Muscle and Media – are being used against Mamata Didi. We wish her a ‘roaring success’, because we believe she is the real ‘Bengal Tigress!',” said Mr Raut.

The decision to support Mamata Didi was taken after discussions with Sena president and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, he added.
