A ghost-hunting couple discovered a human skull near an abandoned hotel in the United Kingdom. The pair of paranormal explorers were on a trip to a woodland area when they made the grim discovery. YouTubers Danny and Felicity Duffy were treading along Egerton Park in Bolton, Greater Manchester on March 1. They were filming just after midnight and revealed the moment when they uncovered the remains. The Daily Star reported that the couple was investigating paranormal activities close to the abandoned pub in Bolton. As seen in the footage shared online, the duo are exploring at night in a wooded area.
Danny, who first takes notice of an army-style jacket on the ground, asks Felicity, “What’s that? That blue thing?” They took a closer look at an object next to it. Immediately, Danny exclaimed in shock and asked his wife to move away from that thing. He alleged that it was a jaw. He put on his gloves next and excavated the remains, adding that it was real and no toy.
Shaken up by the discovery, the couple didn’t take long to inform the police. The area close to the building was cordoned off and officers have been investigating the remains. Greater Manchester Police informed that tests and forensic analysis are currently underway. The Police confirmed that the remains were of a human and were discovered in the area. The couple was released from the scene after speaking to the police at 3.30am. They run a paranormal investigation YouTube channel Exploring with Danny. They have shared an extensive video to their channel from the moment they found the skull.
As per the Manchester Evening News, Detective Inspector Debbie Hurst said that it was a surprising discovery indeed and ever since they have been working to establish the circumstances there. He added that enquiries are underway to determine how the skull reached the area. Although, the investing team hasn’t established any links with any other ongoing investigation but they are keeping an open mind. Forensic analysis by specialist officers at the scene will establish the age of the skull and the duration of it being in that location — both of which currently remain unclear.
Hurst understands that the nature of this discovery is such that there can be some concern in the community. However, there is no perceived threat to the wider public and no arrests have been made, said Hurst. The facts need to be established but he feels that first the ongoing work must be conducted thoroughly and properly.
