Mumbai Indians react as Kieron Pollard hits six sixes in an over; check out– Ahead of IPL 2021, Kieron Pollard has become the only second batsman in the T20Is to hit six sixes in an over. He achieved the feat during the first T20I against Sri Lanka in Antigua. The West Indies skipper went after Akila Dananjaya in the sixth over to achieve the historic feat. He hit the balls towards long-on, straight down the ground, long-off, mid-wicket, straight down the ground and mid-wicket. He was finally dismissed. Interestingly, the bowler also took a hat-trick in the same match.

As Pollard slammed six sixes in an over, Mumbai Indians sent out a tweet asking to ‘Use a GIF to salute the LLORD’.

Earlier, Yuvraj Singh had slammed sixes in an over against England in inaugural 2007 T20 World Cup while Herschelle Gibbs of South Africa had hit sixes against the Netherlands in 2007 World Cup(ODI).

Pollard was finally dismissed for 38 off 11 balls. He had arrived at the crease after Dananjaya’s hat-trick. But the West Indies skipper attacked the spinner from the first ball. He smacked him all around the park as the West Indies teammates stood up to applaud the remarkable achievement.
