Hyderabad, Mar 4 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao inspected the ongoing renovation works of the famous temple atop the picturesque Yadagirigutta hill, the abode of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, located in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Thursday.
The state government's ambitious renovation works taken up at a cost over Rs 1,600 crores is in the final stages of completion.
The Yadagirigutta temple, also known as Pancha Narasimha kshetram, the state's most famous pilgrimmage centre which attracts a large number of devotees from different parts of the country, is located about 65 kms from Hyderabad.
Soon after his arrival by helicopter, Mr Rao had darshan and offered special poojas to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Balalayam before going around the sprawling temple complex to inspect the ongoing renovation and improvement works.
Mr Rao inspected improvements to gopuram, mandapam, prakarmas and pushkarini besides queue complexes and other facilities for the convenience of pilgrims. He also made suggestions during the inspection tour.
He was accompanied by the local MLA G Sunitha and the temple officials.
It may be mentioned that IT Minister and TRS working President K T Rama Rao had recently observed that the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple renovation has been a dream project of the Chief Minister.
