Fourth Test win will be resounding for us: Joe Root

Ahmedabad, Mar 3 (UNI) England team skipper Joe Root believes that if they win the fourth Test then it will be unprecedented achievement for them.

"Look at India's record at home in recent times, it's incredible. It would be a really good achievement for us to win this Test especially after losing the last two games. We have had very tough two weeks but that doesn't define us as a team. We need to look at this as a real opportunity to do something special," the English team captain said while addressing a virtual presser on the eve of the final Test.
Talking about play eleven, he said, "We are exploring all the options available for the selection."
The right-hand batsman also did hint that off-spinning all-rounder Dom Bess could be inducted into the last eleven.
He also accepted that playing with one spinner and four pacers in the last match was an error on their part.
Talking about the pitch, he said, "The pitch looks very similar to the last two games."
He said that the visitors would look to make some partnerships and would try to make sure they did not repeat the mistakes they did in the previous games.

The fourth and the final Test of the series will be played on Thursday, here at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

India need to avoid the defeat to enter the final of the Test Championship. The home side are leading the four-match series by 2-1.

If English team manage to draw the series at the world's biggest cricket stadium then Australia will face New Zealand at Lord's on 18th June.
In the previous Test at the same stadium, the host outclassed Joe Root-led side to register 10 wickets win. The match finished within two days.
