Thane: Kopri Police seizes over 44 kgs ganja, fails to arrest accused

THANE: The Kopri Police in Maharashtra’s Thane district seized 44 kgs of ganja worth over Rs 9 lakh but failed to arrest the alleged drug pushers.
A police officer said that at around 3am, a patrolling party spotted two persons carrying six bags on a rickshaw near a road on the east side of the railway station.
When the police questioned them, they said that it’s just clothes and rice.
When they told them to open it, the duo fled away.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
