CPqD completes transport tests of TIP Cassini, DCSG platforms

Brazil's CPqD has announced the results of its trial of the Telecom Infra Project's Cassini and DCSG platforms in extended metro and long-haul scenarios. The trial found that it was possible to achieve an optical coherent 100/200Gbps transmission over 2,000 km without regeneration for long-haul scenarios using Padtec's hybrid optical amplifier. In addition, the system has been successfully tested for Extended metro (850 km).
