UPSC notification 2021 for Civil Service prelims released; here's direct link to apply

NEW DELHI: Union Public Service Commission on Thursday released the notification for Civil Services (Preliminary) examination, 2021 on its official website.
Aspiring candidates can visit the official website of Commission — upsc.gov.in — to apply for the Civil Service examination. Candidates can submit online applications for UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination till March 24.
The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
UPSC will conduct the Civil Services preliminary examination on June 27 at various centres across the country.

The Civil Services Examination comprises two successive stages — Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for Civil Services (Main) Examination and Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview/Personality Test) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Female and SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
Age Limits
A candidate should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2021 i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1989 and not later than 1st August, 2000.
Number of attempts
Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible will be permitted six attempts at the Civil Service examination. However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC/ST/OBC and PwBD category candidates who are otherwise eligible.
Withdrawal of UPSC CSE applications
Candidates can withdraw the online applications from March 31, 2021 to April 6, 2021 till 6.00 pm after which the link will be disabled
