RAJKOT: The murder of Dalit RTI activist in Sanodar village of Bhavnagar on Tuesday night was a bitter fallout out of a seven-year-old dispute over settling a complaint of atrocity registered by him against some persons of the upper caste.
On Wednesday, police arrested 10 persons who had allegedly assaulted the victim Amra Boricha and with sharp weapons and sticks inside his house.
In the FIR lodged with Ghogha police station, Borcha’s daughter Nirmala alleged that they were being pressurized to settle the case registered against some of the accused in 2013.
Meanwhile, P R Solanki, sub-inspector of Ghogha police station, was also suspended after being named in the complaint.
