Facebook ends ban on political, electoral ads

Facebook said it will be resuming political, electoral and social issue ads in the US on 4 March. The social media company put a temporary ban on political ads in place in order to prevent confusion around the results of the US elections, which took place in November 2020. It then lifted the ban in December, to reimpose in January following mob violence at the Capitol.
