2 officials killed, 3 injured in IED blast in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum

A pressure IED blast took place in Hoyahatu village in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, Thursday morning. Two jawans of the Jharkhand Jaguar of State Police were reportedly killed, two others were critically injured, and one CRPF official sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Two jawans of the Jharkhand Jaguar of State Police were reportedly killed and two others were critically injured after a pressure Improvised explosive device (IED) blast took place in the forest area of Hoyahatu village in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, Thursday morning.

One jawan of 197 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) also sustained minor injuries in the IED blast that took place around 8:45 am on Thursday, an official said.

"Two jawans of the Jharkhand Jaguar unit lost their lives and three others were injured in an IED blast planted by Naxals in Jharjhara area. After the blast, a massive search operation has been launched," the Jharkhand Police was quoted by news agency ANI as saying.
