Karnataka: Cabinet minister Ramesh Jarkiholi resigns over alleged involvement in sex tape

Karnataka: Ramesh Jarkiholi on Wednesday resigned on the moral ground after his name cropped up in a sex tape, pending an investigation into the case. In his resignation letter, which has been accepted by Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and forwarded to the Governor for approval, the minister claimed innocence. "There should be an investigation into this. Even though I am innocent, am taking moral responsibility and resigning from my post in the cabinet,"Ramesh Jarkiholi said.
