    NEW DELHI: Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals traded 1.06 per cent down in Wednesday's trade at 11:41AM (IST). Around 4,649,656 shares changed hands on the counter.

    The stock opened at Rs 52.35 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 52.65 and Rs 50.6, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 52.65 and a 52-week low of Rs 19.2.

    Total market cap of the Bharat Heavy Electricals stood at Rs 17845.57 crore at the time of writing this report.

    Key Financials
    The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4,532.39 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2020, up 19.49 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 3,793.13 crore and up 22.23 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 5,827.74 crore.

    The net loss for latest quarter stood at Rs 217.44 crore.

    Shareholding pattern
    As of 31-Dec-2020, domestic institutional investors held 2.21 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 4.34 per cent and the promoters 63.17 per cent.

    Valuation ratio
    According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of -5.59 and a price-to-book ratio of 0.25. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
