'Call of Duty: Warzone' March 3 Update Fixes Agency Suppressor: Patch Notes
Call of Duty: Warzone received a hotfix Wednesday afternoon to address one of the biggest issues frustrating the game's community over the past week. After installing the small patch, any prior bullet velocity nerfs with the Agency Suppressor have effectively been reversed. The news arrives courtesy of an updated blog post from Warzone's developers at Raven Software.
Call of Duty: Warzone March 3 update patch notes

- Agency/GRU/Wrapped Suppressors have been reverted to their previous state.
- Fourth Operator Mission for Baker with objective to eliminate 15 enemies using a weapon with an attached 2x magnified scope or greater now tracks correctly.
- Small updates to various UI elements such as icons, store bundles, player level up, among others.
The patch notes are short like most server-side hotfixes, but it's the top bullet on that list that is the most significant. When the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 update deployed in late February, one of the most puzzling meta changes was discovered when several of the game's Cold War weapon suppressors were a lot less powerful than they once were. The changes effectively made it so that the title's Cold War weapon sets were distinctly less powerful compared to their Modern Warfare counterparts. Without the right gear to complement the Cold War items, most of Warzone's newest weapon additions played well below their ideal state. Following today's small hotfix, however, those negative impacts no longer exist.
This hotfix arrives a handful of hours after another controversial Warzone hotfix that prioritized glitches related to Reactive Blueprints before solving this glaring problem in the Cold War weapon meta. Fans felt the deployment of the March 1 update before the current one was an implicit admission that the game's paid microtransaction system, which now features several Reactive Blueprints, was more important than a shortcoming that impacted the Warzone experience for free and paid customers alike. Hours after the launch of Season 2, Raven announced that an Agency Suppressor fix was incoming and that it would arrive next week. The developers kept that promise, but they did so only after addressing cosmetic concerns.
That being said, fixing the Agency Suppressor goes a long way toward addressing any problems fans may have had with Warzone Season 2 thus far. There are certainly still ongoing battles against cheaters and hackers that are constantly underway, but keeping the essential gameplay elements in check allows the game's more casual fan base to enjoy the content that exists.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
