Mar. 3—MANCHESTER — Police are searching for a local man who they say shot another person at a home on Maple Street in the early hours of Feb. 28.
The man, Corey Jenkins, 32, has been in contact with investigators, but his location is unknown, police said this morning.
According to police, officers responded to 145 Maple St. around 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 28, and found a victim lying on the floor of the residence with a single gunshot wound that wasn't life threatening.
The victim was conscious and able to speak with officers, and was transported to the hospital, police said.
The investigation into the shooting revealed that Jenkins was responsible, police said.
The weapon used in the shooting hasn't been located, so Jenkins should be considered armed and dangerous, they added. He may be attempting to flee the state.
Anyone with information about Jenkins' whereabouts or any information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department at 860-645-5500 or Detective Andrew Young at 860-643-3348.
