KOLHAPUR: The first semester graduate and postgraduate examinations of the Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK) are set to begin from March 22 in both online and offline modes.
The exams will be objective in nature and the students will get one hour to solve 25 questions of two marks each. Megha Gulavani, the head of university’s examination preparations panel, said, “Usually the university requires around one-and-a-half month to conduct the semester exams. However, we have planned the exams for 30 days this time due to Covid and mainly to avoid any overlapping with the Std XII exams that are going to start from April 23. We have recommended to the colleges and departments of the university to complete the practical exams before March 21. Additional proctors will be appointed to ensure both online and offline exams are conducted in a transparent manner.”
The exams will be held for a total of 621 subjects and around 2 lakh students will take the test across Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara districts. The university has already squeezed the syllabus for graduate and PG courses and the questions will be based on the portion fixed by the university.
