Milind posted a picture with marathon mascot Man Kaur, aged 105, who is a world champion athlete and a star runner of Pinkathon.

Milind Soman’s Instagram feed is full of inspiration if you search for it. The actor who is fit himself also encourages those around him to stay healthy and strong. His own achievements in this area are commendable, inspiring many others to take the run. He founded Pinkathon — India’s biggest women’s run which is attended by many every year. Milind found motivation in one of the women who runs in this marathon and shared her story. He posted a picture with marathon mascot Man Kaur, aged 105, who is a world champion athlete and a star runner of Pinkathon.

In the snap, Milind is seen all smiles with Kaur. He also shared a video where they both are running on the tracks. He expressed how some people think that active life stops at 45 and complain about not being able to do anything. Giving Kaur’s example, he added how this Mascot of Pinkathon and world champion athlete started running at the age of 93. She recently celebrated her 105th birthday and still runs.

The Indian track-and-field athlete has world records under her name in ‘Over-100 years old’ categories. She was also bestowed upon by the Nari Shakti Puraskar award by the President of India. She has clinched multiple gold medals in the past few years. Kaur is known for a diet that includes homemade soy milk and kefir, wheatgrass juice, nuts, lentils and chapatis made from sprouted wheat.

In her interview with Soman for his Pinkathon website, she encouraged the women out there to stay fit and motivated. She said, “As a mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother, I believe young mothers should learn about eating healthy because only if they know all about food then they can guide the coming generation to choose and eat healthily.” Adding on, she mentioned that it takes healthy families to make a healthy nation, which is only possible if individuals are healthy.
