The Income Tax department reportedly raided the houses of filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl on March 3 along with actress Taapsee Pannu in connection with the production house Phantom, which was dissolved in 2018. Reportedly, searches are on at nearly 20 locations in Mumbai and Pune. Apparently, the search are underway at the properties of Shibhashish Sarkar (CEO Reliance Entertainment), Afsar Zaidi (CEO Exceed), Vijay Subramaniam (CEO Kwan). Phantom Films was founded by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena in 2011. As per the recent development, Madhu Mantena had took over the stakes of Anurag, Vikramaditya and Vikas as a source close to them said, “One thought it was all over for Phantom Films as a brand but Madhu had ideas to keep it alive. Madhu got in touch with Kashyap, Motwane and Bahl and expressed an interest to buy their stakes. The three of them agreed, the modalities were fast worked out, the dealing was implemented and completed amicably." Anurag is also working on the adaptation of Kill Bill as the producer Nikhil Dwivedi told BollywoodLife, “It's more of a homage that I want to create. I won't say that I want to remake Kill Bill. But that's a work in progress for sure. It's been worked out.
