HDFC cuts home loan interest rates by 5 basis points; stock ends 8% higher

The Bank has reduced its Retail Prime Lending Rate on Housing loans, on which its Adjustable Rate Home Loans are benchmarked, by 5 basis points, with effect from March 4, 2021.

Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (HDFC) informed the exchanges Wednesday that it has reduced its Retail Prime Lending Rate (RPLR) on Housing loans, on which its Adjustable Rate Home Loans (ARHL) are benchmarked, by 5 basis points, with effect from March 4, 2021.

The company stock ended on Wednesday at Rs879.80 per piece up Rs69.80 or 8.62% on the BSE after opening at the same price.
