Earlier, Sean Williams has scored a century in the first innings against Afghanistan to help Zimbabwe take control on Day 2. Chakabha departed after his well-made 44. Meanwhile, Afghanistan have bowled out Zimbabwe in the second session. They need to pick the remaining wickets as soon as possible.
Zimbabwe managed a lead of 119 runs after a splendid performance with the ball on Day 1 of the opening Test. They had gone past Afghanistan’s score of 131 runs on Tuesday.

Earlier on Day 1 – a total of fifteen wickets fell on the opening day but Zimbabwe were able to pull in front by the end of it, thanks to a crucial 71-run stand for the fourth wicket that helped them end the day with a narrow 2-run lead over Afghanistan, with five wickets in hand.
After bowling out Afghanistan for 131 by Tea, Zimbabwe also lost early wickets, reeling at 38 for 4 at one point in time. Yamin Ahmadzai bowled opener Kevin Kasuza with the fourth ball of the innings before Amir Hamza struck from the other end and got rid of Tarisai Musakanda, also bowled.
Zimbabwe have lost four wickets in the opening Test against Afghanistan after the latter were bundled out for 131. Sean Williams and Sikander Raza are currently batting on the crease.
Earlier, Sensational bowling performances Blessing Muzarbani and Victor Nyauchi helped Zimbabwe bowl out Afghanistan for just 131 runs in their first inning.
Abdul Malik (duck), Rahmat Shah (2) and Munir Ahmed (12), Hasmatullah Shahidi (5) departed in the first few overs. Ibrahim Zadran departed for 31 runs while skipper Asghar Afghan (13), Abdul Wasi (1) and other tail-enders got out post-lunch. The decision of Afghanistan skipper Afghan to bat first has so far backfired.
