M&A pick-up: Feb numbers top current fiscal with 44 deals worth $4 bn

Mergers and acquisitions deals have picked up in the country since December last year. February 2021 saw 44 M&A deals totaling $4 billion, which is a record in the last 12 months.

The consumer, retail and food segment topped the charts in terms of both, deal volumes and value. Tata Group's acqusition of BigBasket of $ 1.3 billion was the biggest M&A deal in February 2021, says Aurum Equity Partners.
