The demise of Pratyusha Banerjee in 2016 came as a shock for the whole nation. Hailing from Jamshedpur, the young lady won a million hearts as Anandi from Balika Vadhu. What followed a sordid tale of drugs, financial woes and physical-emotional abuse. Her boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh with whom she was in a live-in relationship was blamed for alleged financial embezzlement and physical abuse. He was given anticipatory bail three months after the death of the actress by the Bombay High Court. It seems Rahul Raj Singh is all set to embrace fatherhood. He told The Times Of India, "Like anyone else even I wish to live a happy life. I also want to overcome my loss and move on with happy memories. No one wants pain and sadness in life. I'm married for two years but still waiting for the right time to start a family. My parents and wife have a lot of hope in me. And I want to keep them happy as they supported me in my hard times. He has been married to Saloni Sharma, his long-time friend and business associate. It should be noted that Pratyusha Banerjee's friends had alleged that he was two-timing. Rahul Raj Singh said, "Since I got married, my wife has been part of my ups and down. I'm blessed that God has sent her to be with me. After Pratyusha, my life became like a story of TV show. And I'm still struggling for my happy life, but all this while I'm standing strong and I realised how my family and wife are helping to come out of this pain." This is not all. He said he is waiting for the day when Karma punishes Kamya Panjabi and Vikas Gupta. He says they misused the situation for their own benefits. Both of them spoke of how Pratyusha Banerjee had complained of physical and emotional abuse.
