Pooja Bannerjee was seen as Nivedita Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. She nailed it with her performance in the show and hence bagged another show produced by Ekta Kapoor. Pooja Bannerjee replaced Naina Singh as Rhea in Kumkum Bhagya. At a point of time, the actress was playing both the roles at the same time but later Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 ended. Pooja Bannerjee has come a long way and her journey in showbiz has been amazing. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Pooja Bannerjee spoke about her journey. She said, "Well, Gratitude is the word! I certainly feel that destiny too has played a massive role as well. When I did my very first project I was a naive girl who wanted to make it big but then I realised that making big has nothing to do with how many awards I collect. It solely depends on the kind of impact I am creating with my work on the audiences and that’s what matters at the end of the day." She also spoke about her experience working with Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes and Ekta Kapoor in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. She said, "Ekta ma'am is such an inspiration as she single-handedly runs a company comprising so many dimensions. And Parth and Erica are more like a family to me, I feel the team of Kasautii was once in a lifetime because the kind of fun we did during the shoot was something I have never experienced with any of my crew mates earlier. More than just being friends we are a family." The actress also shared her experience working with Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in Kumkum Bhagya. She said, "I look up to them with immense amount of respect. They are such talented people who pull off all the scenes so effortlessly! It is great fun to watch them act and act with them." Pooja Bannerjee played a negative role in both the shows. She was asked if she had any apprehensions while taking up the roles. She said, "No, I feel the decision sprang out after I contemplated on the fact that I just don't want to do a similar kind of a role! I want to play roles consisting of all types of genres. Nivedita is very different from Rhea and vice-versa. I want to be known as that actress who moulded herself into any kind of given role just like the clay."
