Mumbai city on Monday reported new COVID-19 cases below 900 even though concern rises over the spike. Though the new cases dropped to 855, the number crossed the 1,000 mark four times last week. With 849 new cases, Mumbai's total tally reaches 3,27,619
On Tuesday (March 2), Mumbai reported 849 fresh COVID-19 cases and two new deaths due to the virus. The total number of positive cases in the city now stands at 3,27,619, according to information received by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). New cases drop in Dharavi; Dadar's COVID-19 count rises by six

A 28-year-old man has been arrested by Dindoshi police after he stopped film actor Ajay Devgn's car near Filmcity at Goregaon this morning, urging him to support the ongoing farmers protest in North India. Devgn's bodyguards tried to move him aside at which the man allegedly hurled expletives, police said. The man is a resident of Santosh Nagar in Goregaon.

MMRDA seeks HC's nod for Metro car shed work at disputed site
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has approached the Bombay High Court seeking permission to carry out work pertaining to construction of an integrated car shed for Metro lines 3, 4 and 6 at the disputed site in suburban Kanjurmarg. On Tuesday, when the Centre's petition in connection with the case came up for hearing before a division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice G S Kulkarni, MMRDA's lawyer Saket Mone informed the court about the application filed last month by the project implementing authority. Mumbai: Pay Rs 27 as minimum night fare for auto, Rs 32 for taxi
If you plan to take an auto or a taxi in Mumbai, Thane or Navi Mumbai at midnight, the minimum night fare will be Rs 27 for a three-wheeler and Rs 32 for a kaali-peeli—among the most expensive modes of transport in the city.
