Breaking News LIVE Updates, 2 March 2021: The second day of the coronavirus vaccination phase 2 started today for all Indian citizens aged above 60 years and comorbid individuals aged above 45 years. As of Tuesday morning, the country reported 12,286 COVID-19 cases and 91 deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry data. Meanwhile, Gujarat local bodies including the municipality and gram panchayats went to the polls today.
In other news, a man was shot dead in Hathras by another man against whom the victim had filed a case of molestation in July 2018, in a village in Sasni area of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. An FIR was registered against 4 named accused, two of whom have been arrested. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to take strict action in the matter. He has also given directions to invoke the stringent National Security Act (NSA) against all the accused involved in the case.
