The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced the extension in the ban of international passenger flights till this month-end. After the development, aviation stocks rallied on Monday's trading session.
Last week on Friday, DGCA in a statement, said that the competent authority has further extended the validity regarding scheduled international commercial passenger services to or from India till 2359 hours IST of March 31, 2021.
However, DGCA said that this restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.
Also, the DGCA notified that the international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis.
