The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX spy shots reveal radar-assisted safety system along with a camera for predictive electronics

The radar-powered safety system uses sensors which are able to detect vehicles up ahead and slow down the motorcycle if needed. Once the path ahead is clear, the radar-powered cruise control system will return the bike to its previous speed. What is also unique is the camera mounted on the windshield. Last year, Kawasaki filed for patents which involves a camera system that scans the road ahead to prepare the bike's electronics pre-emptively to take action, and the new H2 SX will probably get this advanced rider assistance system as well, in addition to the radar-powered cruise control system.

According to that patent filing, the system uses a camera along with an onboard GPS, which will predict change in geography, road surface and prepare the electronics beforehand. For instance, if there's a corner coming up, the electronics will be prepared for braking as well as leaning action, and also do the necessary suspension adjustments, depending on what the system will predict. What is not clear is when we will get to see all this technology. But it may be sooner than anticipated, and Kawasaki may debut the new H2 SX by the end of 2021, if not early 2022.
