PVC (polyvinyl chloride) price increased further steeply with a hike of Rs 6/kilogram, or 4.9%, with effect from March 01, 2021.

This is the third PVC price hike in Q4 FY21 (totalling to up Rs 12/kg or 10.2%) after an increase of Rs 26/kg, or 28.5%, in Q3 FY21.

The longest rally in PVC prices continues to extend even into Q4 FY21. PVC prices, which are now at Rs 129.3/kg, have almost doubled since May 01, 2020.

The surge has been largely led by sustained supply-side issues globally with U.S. cold wave leading to the recent shutdown of plants.
