We’re now just days away from the official reveal of the Oppo Find X3 Pro, a followup to one of the best phones from 2020. Here’s everything we know so far, including confirmed use of the Snapdragon 888.
Oppo unveiled the Find X2 series last March. The line up consisted of the Find X2, the Find X2 Neo, the Find X2 Lite and the Find X2 Pro, with the latter being the standout of the four phones. The Pro’s fantastic camera selection, long battery life and stunning display earned the device an impressive four and a half stars, as well as the title of ‘best smartphone‘ at the Trusted Reviews Awards.
We’re now nearing one year on from the Find X2 launch and we now have confirmation of the X3 launch date.
Scroll down to discover everything there is to know about the Find X3 series so far, including the design, the specs and a very unique-looking camera. Don’t forget to bookmark this guide too, as we plan to update it regularly.
Oppo Find X3 Pro price and release date – when will it be available?
We have official confirmation from Oppo itself that the Find X3 series will be unveiled on March 11. The launch event will take place at 11.30GMT/12:30CET.
Jon Prosser, a leaker usually associated with Apple news, has tweeted some further information about the planned release schedule for the X3 family.
Prosser claims that the X3 Pro, X3 Lite and X3 Neo will have pre-orders commencing March 31 and a full release a few weeks later on April 14. Not long to wait it seems and considering we had a March announcement last year, this doesn’t feel too unlikely.

Prosser’s tweet also shows us another look at the four colours of what we presume to be the Pro, with the very iPhone 12 Pro look and similar hues.
This also seems to confirm what we already suspected in that there won’t be a regular Find X3 model. Evan Blass previously suggest that Oppo could do away with the standard Find X3 entirely, leaving the Find X3 Neo to take its place as the base model.
Blass has also suggested that the Lite will actually be a rebranded Reno5.
Oppo Find X3 Pro camera – a built-in microscope
The majority of the Find X3 Pro leaks we’ve seen so far come from prominent tipster Evan Blass on Voice.
Blass’ most recent post goes into depth on the Find X3 Pro’s unique, crater-shaped camera. The camera’s design reportedly marks a “significant technical achievement” for the brand, and the module houses a total of four sensors.

These include two 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 cameras primary lens – a primary lens and an ultra-wide lens – a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 2-megapixel flash-ringed macro lens with 25x zoom. The lights circling the latter, along with its impressive zoom capabilities, will supposedly allow the phone to function as a “de facto microscope”, while the telephoto lens is the same seen on the standard Find X2 model.
Oppo Find X3 Pro design – it’s a looker
As far as the design goes, Blass gave us our first look at the Pro when he shared a selection of renders to his Voice page in January.
The images show off the pronounced camera bump on the rear of the device, along with its spacious, 6.7-inch display and the colours the Find X3 Pro could be available in.

We know from Blass’ previous leaks that the Pro is expected to be 8mm thick with a curved screen and back, and weigh 190g. The backs will reportedly have a ceramic glaze or matte frosted glass design and come in black and blue, with white joining the range later on.
Oppo Find X3 Pro Specs and Performance – Snapdragon 888 on board
“The new Find X smartphone series will push the boundaries of display and camera”, announced Oppo in the press release announcing the phones impending arrival. The same announcement also revealed that an Oppo flagship would be powered by Qualcomm’s latest high-end chipset – the Snapdragon 888.

Unfortunately, it’s looking as though the 888 may be reserved for the Pro model, as a recent leak by @imailisa0825 on Twitter (via PlayfulDroid) shows the regular Find X3 (or perhaps the Find X3 Neo) packing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870.
The benchmark screenshots also suggest that the new base model will come with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a Full HD+ display, at least one 12.6-megapixel camera and run the Android 11-based ColorOS 11.2.
Shortly following this leak, the Find X3 appeared on Geekbench (via MySmartPrice), further confirming that it will carry 8GB of RAM and run on Android 11.
Prolific leaksters Evan Blass and Digital Chat Station have also revealed some of the other specs they expect to see on the new Oppo line.
According to Blass, the Find X3 Pro – codenamed Fussi – will be marketed with the slogan “Awaken Color” to draw attention to its support of end-to-end 10-bit colour. The 6.7-inch, 1440 x 3216 display has an adaptive dynamic frame rate of 10Hz to 120Hz and is capable of displaying images in its quad camera’s 1.07 billion native colours.

Blass says the Pro will be fitted with a dual cell 4,500mAh battery and support 650w SuperVOOC 2.0 wired charging and 30w WOOC Air wireless charging. The NFC design also boasts a dual-body antenna, allowing users to make payments screen-down as well as with the back of their device.
The display, camera and battery details were also leaked by Digital Chat Station on Twitter (via MyFixGuide), though the tipster appears to refer to the Find X3 series rather than specifying the Pro model as Blass did.
