Ram temple is going to be constructed in Ayodhya and so far, Rs 2,100 crore has been collected. While the cost was stated to be Rs 1,500 crore, that is, it is about one and a half times the estimate. Earlier it was estimated to cost Rs 1,100 crore, but the cost went up due to changing the foundation plan.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad started the fund dedication campaign on 15 January. Funding is being done in the states where the campaign started late. In such a situation, the amount is going to increase further.

Swami Govind Dev Giri, treasurer of Shriram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetraya Trust, says that if a new plan is included in the future, its cost may still increase. If this happens, the Chanda campaign can be started again. Trust general secretary Champat Rai says that there is no limit as to how much it will cost.

According to Swami Govind Dev Giri, proposals are being given to donate from abroad also, the process of depositing the depositor's amount in banks is still going on. The correct account may be completed by the end of March. Along with this, people living abroad are also appealing for donations. Whether or not donations will be taken from these will be decided in the temple trust office bearers' meeting.

Muslims also donated to the temple,

According to Dr. Anil Mishra, a member of the trust, the ties of religion, caste, and sect have been broken in giving donations. All religions have donated openly in this and a large number of them include Muslims.
