Jodie Foster explains why she thanked Aaron Rodgers in Globes speech
Jodie Foster raised eyebrows when she thanked Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers throughout her Golden Globes acceptance speech for greatest supporting actress in “The Mauritanian.”
So what was that each one about?
Foster excitedly defined backstage in the digital Golden Globes media room about that call-out to Rodgers, who simply occurs to be engaged to Foster’s “The Mauritanian” co-star Shailene Woodley. She may love Rodgers even greater than Woodley and she felt the necessity to specific that love in the speech.
And Rodgers did thank Jodie Foster in his MVP acceptance speech.
“I decided, I am not only am I am huge Packers fan, but I’m a competitive MVP fan (over) Aaron Rodgers,” joked Foster, who has long-proclaimed allegiance to the Wisconsin-based soccer staff.
Foster denied stories that she launched Woodley to Rodgers. The actress has by no means met him. “I didn’t set up Shailene and Aaron. I have never met Aaron Rodgers,” stated Foster.

Shailene Woodley confirms engagement to NFL star Aaron Rodgers: He’s ‘wonderful’
“It is possible that I do like to talk about how much I love the Green Bay Packers. Sometimes I can talk a little bit too much about that,” stated Foster, laughing. “So of course Shailene is very aware of my enthusiasm for the team.”

Foster stated she is already anticipating shout-out revenge from Rodgers. “I got a very cute video from Aaron Rodgers where he said he’s going to get me back. I’m looking forward to this. We’ll see who wins,” stated Foster.
As for her pajamas outfit through the digital Golden Globes, Foster confirmed that she was not even sporting sneakers through the awards broadcast by lifting a naked foot to the digital camera backstage.
“It’s thrilling. I think this is the best Globes ever,” stated Foster. ” I don’t know, but it felt real. It feels like a pajama party.”
