West Bengal civil service, audit & accounts service exams postponed

NEW DELHI: Public Service Commission, West Bengal has decided to postpone the West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) (Preli.) Examination, 2021, owing to the pre-occupation of the administrative machinery with activities related to the conduct of the ensuing Assembly General Elections in the State.

West Bengal Civil Service preliminary examination was scheduled to be held on March 21, which has now been postponed till May 15.

Along with the Civil Service preliminary exam, West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service Recruitment (Preli.), Exam, and West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.), etc. (Main) Exam have also been postponed.


West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service recruitment exam was scheduled for April 11. WB Civil Service main exam 2020 was scheduled to be held between April 24 to 28. The revised schedule for these examinations will be released by the WBPSC.

The notice issued regarding the postponement of the exam reads “The Commission has decided to postpone the following examinations till 15th of May, 2021, owing to pre-occupation of the administrative machinery with activities related to conduct of the ensuing Assembly General Elections in the State — West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) etc. (Preli.) Examination, 2021, West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service Recruitment (Preli.), Examination, 2020 and West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) etc. (Main) Examination, 2020”
