Superstar Shah Rukh Khan announced his next venture, a forthcoming dark comedy 'Darlings', starring Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah in lead roles.
Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media profile and dropped the teaser. He captioned it, “Life is tough Darlings, but so are you....both! 'Darlings' marks a first for many - the directorial debut of Jasmeet K Reen and Alia’s first stint as a producer. Written by Parveez Sheikh & Jasmeet, 'Darlings' goes on floors this month.
The film is said to be a unique story of a quirky mother-daughter duo navigating through crazy circumstances as they try to find their place in the world. Set in Mumbai against the backdrop of a conservative lower-middle-class neighbourhood, 'Darlings' traces the lives of these two women as they find courage and love in exceptional circumstances.
The film comes with its own statutory warning – a reminder that offending women can be very dangerous for your health.
