Hoist division for Speedy

UK rental group Speedy has opened a new specialist hoist division with a £1.5 million investment in Geda rack & pinion hoists with capacities from 200kg to two tonnes.

The new division will be based at a new 4,800 square metre hub in Birmingham the company says that it also has more than 25 trained hoist engineers across its network. The Birmingham location will be followed by eight additional specialist hoist centres that it plans to open this year. Adrian Bolland, a 15 year Speedy veteran will lead the new hoist division.

Speedy is also setting up 18 specialist heavy lifting locations, two of which - Rosyth and Ellesmere Port - are already operational.
