Recently the pictures of an auto rickshaw transformed into a mobile home had gone viral. The brainchild of architect Arun Prabhu NG, the unique project has received a lot of praise from netizens over the ingenuity of the Arun as to how he has managed to fit in a bed, kitchen and a bathroom into the tiny space.
Well now, a few months after this, business tycoon Anand Mahindra has also joined in to shower praises on the Chennai-based architect. Mahindra was so impressed by the project that he now wants Arun to join hands with him to design something similar for him.
Mahindra, who probably saw Arun’s creation a bit later, shared the news on his twitter handle and asked netizens to help with getting in touch with the architect.
“Apparently Arun did this to demonstrate the power of small spaces. But he was also on to a larger trend: a potential post-pandemic wanderlust & desire to be ‘always mobile’,” Mahindra tweeted.
Apparently Arun did this to demonstrate the power of small spaces. But he was also on to a larger trend: a potential post-pandemic wanderlust & desire to be ‘always mobile.’ I’d like to ask if he’ll design an even more ambitious space atop a Bolero pickup. Can someone connect us? https://t.co/5459FtzVrZ— anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) February 27, 2021
He further wished that the architect would help design a bigger project on top of a Bolero pickup.
He said, “I’d like to ask if he’ll design an even more ambitious space atop a Bolero pickup. Can someone connect us?”
Mahindra’s tweet has garnered over 4,000 likes and many comments. Since being shared earlier today, the tweet has collected over 2,600 likes and several comments.
People yet again showered praises for Arun’s creativity and some also said how Mahindra’s idea of a mobile home atop a Bolero would be wonderful.
Sir it’s a great idea to build on a bolero. It will also become a new trend post pandemic that people like to stay on the move in their own comfort of a camper jeep. It’s my dream to which u can make it possible— sriharisampath (@sriharisampath6) February 27, 2021
One person, a user named @ajaykalra replied to Mahindra’s tweet saying how he has informed Arun about the business tycoon’s wish to connect with him. The man said that Arun is originally from Namakal in Tamil Nadu. Another user had earlier shared that the mobile home was reportedly built with just an auto and Rs 1 lakh of expenditure.
