CM to present budget on March 24 with focus on self-reliance

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who holds finance portfolio, will present the budget for the year 2021-22 in the state legislative assembly on March 24, 2021, the first day of the budget
session.

The 13-day session will begin on March 24 and conclude on April 16.

Sawant said the budget will focus on making Goa self-reliant through various initiatives.

The government launched the ‘Swayampurna Goem’ initiative in 191 village panchayats on October 2, 2020 and in 13 municipalities and the Corporation of the City of Panaji on February
22, 2021.
