TRICHY: A day after the schedule for assembly in Tamil Nadu was announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI), senior leader from Communist Party of India (Marxist) Brinda Karat on Saturday said that the combination of BJP and AIADMK will face a defeat in the election.
“In Tamil Nadu, it is undeniable that there is going to be a change of government, the change something that the people of Tamil Nadu are waiting for. On April 6, the combination of BJP and AIADMK will be soundly defeated,” Brinda Karat said in a press meet at Trichy.
She also added that AIADMK was more interested in supporting BJP than farmers in the ongoing protest against farm laws introduced by the Centre.
“It is indeed shameful that AIADMK has not said a single word in support of farmers. The AIADMK government has to be defeated for democratic, secular and progressive looking Tamil Nadu,” Brinda Karat said.
She added that every BJP leader coming from New Delhi is an ambassador of hate and division imposing one nation, one language and one leader.
