Peeyush Gupta elected as Chairman of CII West Bengal State Council

Kolkata, Feb 27 (UNI) Peeyush Gupta, Vice President – Steel (Marketing & Sales),
Tata Steel Ltd. has been elected as the Chairman of CII West Bengal State Council
for the year 2021 – 22.
His name was announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted West Bengal
State Council held in the city on Saturday.
Mr Gupta chairs the board of Tata Steel (Thailand) plc, NatSteel Holdings, (Singapore)
and Indian Steel & Wire Products (ISWP), Associate companies / subsidiaries of Tata
Steel Limited.
At Tata Steel, he handles the revenue responsibility pertaining to Indian operations in
his capacity as Vice President – Steel(Marketing & Sales) and chairs the council of
Agrico and Bearings Division.
He is also a member of the board of Tata Steel Downstream Products ltd. (TSDPL)
and Mjunction Services Ltd.
Subhasendu Chatterjee, Whole-Time Director, Haldia Petrochemicals Limited has
been elected as the Vice Chairman of CII West Bengal State Council for the year
2021 - 22.
Mr Chatterjee, born on 13.07.1947, has a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering
(1968) from Jadavpur University and holds a post graduate degree in Chemical
Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (1970) and has more than 40 years of
experience in the fertilizer and chemicals industry covering design, engineering,
commissioning, technical services and project management with leading
consultancy/ operating plants in India and abroad.
Currently he is the Whole-Time Director of Haldia Petrochemicals Limited and is on
the Board of more than twenty (20) Companies.
He was instrumental in HPL’s recent turnaround.
