Thomasville man charged with child solicitation

Feb. 27—THOMASVILLE — A Thomasville man has been charged with trying to solicit a 15-year-old girl online for sex.

On Wednesday, Thomasville Police Department detectives received information from the N.C. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that a Thomasville man was soliciting a girl from Montgomery County through Facebook.

Troy Lee Hunt, 34, was charged with soliciting a child under 16 by computer to commit sexual acts.

Hunt was being held in the Davidson County Jail on Friday afternoon. Bond was set at $75,000 secured.
