Lip stains, full brows and lit-from-within skin took over Instagram this past week
This week, celebrities allowed the ‘less is more’ mantra to assume centre-stage in their beauty routine by eschewing heavy-duty makeup for a light, easy, breezy approach. Whether they were trying a fluttery lash or adding a bold flush of colour, they stuck to keeping it simple. Here are our favourite picks.
Carefree and romantic, cottagecore beauty includes elements like full brows, fluttery lashes and flushed cheeks, which are all very natural and super easy to replicate. There's nothing that gives you bright, radiant skin like cream blush, and Kylie Jenner used it to give her hints of pigment to her cheeks, lips and lids too. She also added fluffy but filled-in brows and a little melted-in highlighter on the high points of her face. Khushi Kapoor did the same, thickening up her already bold brows, and taking the less-is-more approach to her skin. Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday and Katrina Kaif kept things more matte, but swirled on blush and wore the prettiest, glossiest hint of colour on their lips. Janhvi Kapoor stepped out for promotions in a no-makeup-makeup look, adding nude lip gloss and light pink shadow across her lids.

Parineeti Chopra went with a moody burgundy shade to match with her newest TV role on The Girl On The Train, adding a bronzer to the hollows of her cheekbones to sculpt and add definition. Shilpa Shetty Kundra added a matte red lipstick to her look, while Karisma Kapoor wore a lighter, more matte lip stain.
