DMK to interview potential candidates for Tamil Nadu assembly polls between March 2 and 6

CHENNAI: The DMK party will interview candidates aspiring for a party ticket to contest in the assembly polls from March 2 to March 5, said party general secretary S Durai Murugan.
The interview would be held region-wise.
On March 2, the party will interview aspirants from Kanyakumari, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Ramanathapuram. During the second half of the day, interviews will be held for aspirants from Virudhunagar, Sivagangai, Theni, and Dindigul districts.
On March 3, the party will cover Madurai, The Nilgiris and Erode districts, while interviews for selecting candidates for Tiruppur, Coimbatore, and Krishnagiri districts will be conducted in the second half of the day.
On March 4, aspirants from Dharmapuri, Namakkal, Salem, Pudukottai, Karur, Ariyalur, Perumbalur, Trichy and Thiruvarur and Nagapattinam (south) districts.
On March 5, interviews at Thanjavur, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Villpuram, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, and Kancheepuram districts will be organised.
On the final day (March 6), aspirants from Tiruvallur, Chennai, Puducherry, and Karaikal were asked to appear for the interview.
District secretaries and district in-charge should be present at the party headquarters on the day of the interview for aspirants from their respective district, said Duraimurugan in a statement.
