Development is 'Mool Mantra' of government, policy of zero tolerance over corruption: Guv

Ranchi, Feb 26 (UNI) Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu during the inaugural day of the

Budget Session today highlighted the achievements of the state government and outlined

the vision for future.

During her 40 minute address she said that the government has done many works in the

interest of the people which is being appreciated everywhere. She said that development is

the 'Mool Mantra' of the state government and all the sections of the society have been

linked with the mainstream of development.

She said that with the participation of all development is being ensured in the state.

The Governor said that the state government has accorded focus on all the sectors and

has also given due attention towards the SC/ST OBC and minorities in the state.

She said that the state government has adopted a zero tolerance policy over corruption

as part of which the Vigilance is being strengthened.

The governor said that the government was making efforts for industrial peace and was

working to solve the pending problems.

Pointing out the works done during the coronavirus pandemic she said that while on one

hand the state government brought back the migrant workers who were trapped in other

state on the other hand community kitchens were run to make sure that nobody slept empty

stomach.

She said that through DBT money was transferred in the accounts of the migrant workers

who were trapped outside and even 373 Mukhyamantri Dal Bhaat centres were operated to '

feed the needy.

The governor further said that for the youth living in LWE districts skill development programs

have been started while on the other hand the state government is also working for improvement

of power distribution production and transmission in the state as part of which many schemes have been started and Giridih is being developed as a solar City.

She said that wages under Mnrega have been increased and on the other hand more than 10

crore man-days have been achieved. She said that the government was also working in the area

of water conservation and has started Birsa Harit Gram Yojana for plantation of trees.

Adding further she said that the state government has waived off the loan of the farmers and

has also started Mukhymantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana and is providing credit cards to the

farmers involved in animal husbandry. Further milk federation has been expanded while steps

are being taken to increase fisheries production in the state.

The governor said that under the cleanliness survey Jharkhand has performed better as the

state has already become ODF whereas Jamshedpur has been declared as three star garbage

free city.
