Mah: Naxals kill man in Gadchiroli on suspicion

Nagpur, Feb 27 (UNI) The Naxallites allegedly killed a person in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra on Friday, on suspicion of being a police informer, a senior police official told UNI.
According to the police official, the incident occurred at Pursalgondi village in Etapalli tehsil, when the victim had gone to his in-laws' place, to attend a marriage function.
The official, however, denied the victim's association with police.
The deceased was identified as Ashok Ramu Kurchami (29), resident of Mangutha village.
In the past 15 days, at least three ultras have been arrested by the police in separate incidents in the district.
The rebels are now targeting innocents over suspicion, the official said, adding that search was underway in the area to trace the assailants.

Nashik, Feb 26 (UNI) Last few days the corona cases have increased in the district. Nashik district reported 324 new cases of CoVid-19 while three corona patients succumbed to the district the death toll rose to 2098 during the last 24 hours, taking the number of total corona positive cases to 1,21,802 while number of the total deaths so far 2098, and 231 patients across the district discharged from hospital in the district on Friday.
