Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said that a total of 824 assembly constituencies shall be going for polls during assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry. 18.68 crore electors will cast vote at 2.7 lakh polling stations in the four states and 1 union territory. Arora said, 'Vaccination drive has made situation more conducive for elections, everyone on poll duty declared frontline worker for vaccine purpose. First, our state level poll officials will be vaccinated and then those at ECI HQ in New Delhi. In ECI headquarters too vaccination will start with the juniormost staffers and top officials will be vaccinated last.'
