FIRST LOOK | Thuso Mbedu in Barry Jenkins' limited series The Underground Railroad

Thuso Mbedu takes the spotlight in the first official trailer for the Amazon limited series, The Underground Railroad.

Directed by Academy Award-winner Barry Jenkins, it is based on the novel of the same name by Colson Whitehead.

The story follows Cora Randall's (Mbedu) desperate fight for freedom in the antebellum South. After escaping a Georgia plantation for the rumoured Underground Railroad, Cora discovers an actual railroad beneath the Southern soil.

Thuso shared the trailer on Twitter with the caption: "History is made by those who dare to try. #TheUndergroundRailroad arrives on @PrimeVideo May 14."
