India registered a massive win against England in Ahmedabad after crushing the opponents by 10 wickets. Such was India’s dominance that the five-day Test match was wrapped up in two days. The game, played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, resulted in India taking a 2-1 lead in the four-match series.
Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman was in all praise for Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin’s performance. Rohit Sharma too praised Ashwin for his 400 test wickets and congratulated Ishant Sharma for his 100th, test while congratulating the team for their big win.

The Ahmedabad Test has been in the headlines not only for India’s big win but also for the pitch condition. Many former cricketers have remarked about the pitch and questioned if it was good enough for Test cricket. Cricketer Michael Vaughan called the match entertaining but also clearly said that the pitch is awful for the Test match format.
